GPS Camera ("the app", package app.gpscamera) takes photos and videos and stamps them with the place, time and other details where they were taken. This policy explains what data the app handles and where it goes. Contact: aifriends014@gmail.com.
In short: there is no account and we run no servers that receive your data. Your photos, videos and location history stay on your phone. To fill in the stamp, the app looks up the address, a small map and the weather for your current position using the services below. The free app shows ads from Google AdMob.
| Service | What is sent | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your phone's built-in geocoder (Android, usually provided by Google) | Your current coordinates | To turn coordinates into a street address |
| OpenFreeMap map tile servers | Requests for map tiles around your position (this reveals the approximate area) and your IP address | To draw the small map on the stamp and the photo map |
| MET Norway weather API | Coordinates rounded to about 100 m, and your IP address | To show temperature, conditions, wind and humidity, and to improve altitude from the barometer |
| Google AdMob | See "Advertising" below | To show ads in the free app |
These requests carry no name, account or photo. We (the developer) do not receive your location or photos. Each service handles requests under its own privacy policy.
The app shows ads from Google AdMob in the gallery, photo viewer, projects and settings screens, never on the camera screen. Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (and approximate location derived from it), device information and ad interactions to show, measure and protect ads, and may share this with its advertising partners. In regions where consent is required (such as the EEA and UK) you are asked first, and you can change your choice under Settings › Ad privacy choices. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings › Privacy › Ads. Learn more about how Google uses data from apps that use its services.
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Everything the app stores lives on your phone. Uninstalling the app (or clearing its storage) removes projects, notes, your logo and settings. Photos and videos you took stay in your gallery until you delete them there. See how to delete your data.
We will update this page if the app's data practices change, and change the date at the top.
